Abstract :
The aim of this seminar is to present a multiphysics sensor on glass for sorting and detecting dielectric microparticles. The target application is the analysis of bacterial viability as a sentinel of pollution. The sorting function, obtained without surface functionalization, is provided by dielectrophoresis. This force is induced by castellated electrodes fed by a low-frequency signal. The detection function is obtained by an integrated surface waveguide on glass. The optical signal transmission is modified by the particles collected on its top.
